Synopsis
Part of Inter-Action, the Almost Free Theatre was an alternative theatre venue based in Rupert Street, Piccadilly, that presented new writing, including several influential seasons of work by under-represented groups. The Almost Free Theatre hosted the first Women’s Theatre Festival in 1973 and first gay theatre festival, Homosexual Acts in 1975.
