Synopsis

The black-and-white video begins in-media-res, with an interview between Sue Hall and Councillor McIntosh from Camden. They talk about the difficulty of licensing squatter homes, as the creation of a central organisation is not a format that is suited to squat-life as it would create hierarchies, power structures and breed mutual distrust within the squat. They then speak about a case where a family was assigned to a house that had already been squatted and how the council had failed to account for the family afterwards. The video ends humorously with Sue addressing the feline of the house: "What did you think of that, cat?"
