Nicola Field
Nicola Field is a writer, artist and activist based in Peckham, south London. She is an original member of the group Lesbians and Gays Support the Miners, which featured in the hit film Pride. She was also part of the Lesbian and Gay Youth Video project which created the Grierson award-winning scratch-video documentary Framed Youth.
Her book Over the Rainbow; Money Class and Homophobia (Pluto Press 1995), which contains the earliest first-hand published account of the LGSM story, was republished by Dog Horn Publishing in 2016. PM Press will be publishing her next book Pinkwash: LGBT+ Liberation and the Politics of Class.
Her poetry, fiction and socialist writing has been published widely and her artwork and films have been exhibited at the V&A and British Film Institute.
