Community Action, Community Arts, Community Festival: From the Basement Project to The Big Show (1972–1976) explores the legacy of radical community video and grassroots arts projects in 1970s East London, through the work of the Basement Project, E1 Festival, and Tower Hamlets Arts Project. Curated by London Community Video Archive.
Alongside a specially curated selection of films from the last five decades by pioneering and influential artist John Smith will be screened each day. John Smith is the quintessential East End filmmaker and his films often find focus in his own neighbourhood or street.
