Smalltown Stories, The Chateau, BFI
March 27th, 2025
Celebrating 40 years of Bronski Beat’s The Age of Consent, this event explores the radical queer political movements of the 1980s to the present day.
An evening of conversation and films from the London Community Video Archive and the BFI National Archive, plus an exclusive cinema screening of Matt Lambert’s Why?. The event will reflect on the radical queer political movements that surrounded the release of Bronski Beat’s seminal 1984 album The Age of Consent, with filmmakers joining us to connect the political message of the time to the continued fight for queer and trans liberation today.
