Organise a screening

To organise a screening we require you to fill out a booking form.

Where possible we charge a £50 handling fee per video shown. This money goes towards the upkeep of the website and any organisational costs. To pay the handling fee, you can either make a one-off £50 donation via our donation page, or provide your billing details in the booking form and we will issue an invoice.

As part of our archive’s credit attribution requirements, we ask that anyone screening material from our collection credit material as: “London Community Video Archive.”

Please also tag @the_lcva in any online marketing and, where possible, add us as a collaborator on Instagram posts.

We also ask that the LCVA video bumper (which we’ll provide) is played before and after any LCVA film(s) screened.

When possible, all screening requests should be placed at least two weeks in advance of your screening date. We are a small organisation and, depending on the capacity of the team, things take time.

Please note that the LCVA is not a building and only exists online. All digitised material can be viewed directly through the site.

We invite anyone organising a screening of a video from the London Community Video Archive to fill out an evaluation form.

This information helps us improve what we do and understand our work with communities, it also helps with future funding applications, which all helps to keep us running.

As well as providing a distribution service the LCVA can come in to talk with community groups, arts and cultural organisations and student groups about our work, we also offer programming and exhibition advice for researchers and curators. Please email projects@the-lcva.co.uk for details.
