Community Media
A collection of videos focused on community media, a movement which took back control the means of representation into the hands of the working class and local communities, this movement spanned globally with indigenous populations. In the spirit of accessibility and seizing the means of production, many videos show the mechanics of filming, producing and editing a community video project. This can be seen with participants calling cut or asking questions, interviewee's being asked about their experience, and recorded demonstrations of how to use camera equipment. This movement was sometimes inherited by mainstream media, such as BBC's Open Door or Channel Four.
